Established in 2005, Intaba Flowers Pty Ltd is a leading bulk supplier of premium cut flowers, seasonal greens, and indigenous bouquets from South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom to retail and wholesale markets worldwide. Our name, Intaba, meaning “mountain” in Xhosa, symbolises the majestic ranges of the Western and Eastern Cape, home to one of the most diverse floral kingdoms on earth.
With over 20 years of expertise in the cut flower industry, we specialise in sourcing and exporting the finest Cape Flora, including Proteas, Pincushions, Leucadendrons, Brunias, and a wide variety of ferns, grasses, and flowering greens. Our strong partnerships with local growers across multiple regions ensure an abundant and diverse supply, while our collaboration with OZ Flora Pty Ltd strengthens our global reach.
We are proud to serve leading retailers and wholesalers, including Woolworths in South Africa and major UK and European supermarkets such as Tesco, M&S, ASDA, Aldi, Waitrose, and Co-Op. Our operations are supported by a state-of-the-art packhouse at Cape Town International Airport, ensuring strict quality control from farm to international delivery.
We encourage our growers to adopt SIZA and Farming for the Future compliance, and we proudly maintain SIZA social compliance and Farming for the Future certification, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility, ethical trade, and sustainable practices.
Certain departments work from home twice a week to further lower potential emissions.
We monitor water usage and water use efficiency to avoid excess water waste. We reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
We only source from growers who hold valid permits to pick and sell indigenous flora, ensuring legal and responsible harvesting that protects biodiversity.
We prioritise sustainability by reusing cartons within our supply chain, achieving three to five cycles per carton to reduce single-use packaging.
