On the farm, solar geysers have been installed at all hostels and employee housing to improve energy efficiency. In addition, gas burners have been installed in all hostels for cooking, helping to reduce overall electricity consumption.
At the packhouse, sunroof panels have been installed to maximize the use of natural daylight, thereby decreasing the reliance on artificial lighting.
On the farm, continuous fuel monitoring is implemented to manage and control fuel usage efficiently. Farm-to-town trips are minimized by using a single driver who follows a planned daily pickup and delivery schedule to the farms. In addition, preventative maintenance is carried out on all vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reduce breakdowns.
At the packhouse, only electrical forklifts are used to support more efficient and environmentally friendly operations.
Empty chemical containers are triple rinsed and recycled to ensure safe and responsible waste management practices.
At the packhouse, packaging materials are recycled to reduce waste, and fruit that is not suitable for export is either repacked for the local market or sent to the juicing facility to minimize product loss.
