Spier’s nine solar installations generated over 280 000 kWh, resulting in savings of 107 800 kg of carbon dioxide.
Spier believes that healthy soil is the foundation of all agricultural activity on the estate. The team’s soil regeneration and farming approach is designed to promote long-term soil health, improve water retention, and enhance carbon sequestration.
Since 2008, Spier has taken a proactive approach to waste management. The estate recycles 100% of its water and sends zero waste to landfill. It is also working towards achieving the emissions target aligned with net zero by 2030.
